Reviving Traditional Tet Celebrations at Thang Long Imperial Citadel

Spanning a total area of 3,500 square meters, the historical site arranges special spaces specifically for Tet celebrations, showcasing both the old times along with tourist destinations and heritage sites from across the country.
The event creates an immersive experience for both domestic and international visitors to enjoy, thereby allowing them to appreciate the precious cultural heritage and the unique culinary delights that are on offer across the country.
A space for Tet cuisine and regional specialties beautifully showcases the distinctive flavors found in Hanoi’s Tet dishes which embodies the nation’s cultural richness and culinary values.
Dong Xuan market is recreated as part of the program.
The event provides a space specifically for businesses to introduce food and high-quality products to visitors which are typical of the Tet holiday.
Guests at the event will have the opportunity to experience a traditional Tet through various activities, such as calligraphy giving, toy making, and cake making, among others.
The event is expected to serve as a pivotal hub which connects both overseas Vietnamese and international tourists with the vibrant culture found in Hanoi.

Hanoi’s First Bike-Only Lane Set to Open

The Hanoi Department of Transport has announced that Hanoi will soon have a new 4km long and 4m wide cycle path along the To Lich River. This dedicated bicycle lane, which will pass through the Cau Giay and Dong Da districts, is set to open on February 1, 2024. The purpose of this project is to provide a safe and convenient transportation option for cyclists in the city. The cycle path will connect Lang Station of Cat Linh – Ha Dong Metro Line and No.8 Station of the Nhon-Hanoi Metro Line. The total investment for the project is estimated to be VND65 billion (US$2.64 million). There will be six public bicycle stations along the route, including two major stations at the Transportation University and Lang Station. These stations will provide approximately 100 bicycles and electric bikes to cater to the needs of Hanoi’s residents and students. Vietnamese cuisine ranked 22nd out of 100 best international cuisines

The annual TasteAtlas rankings are based on a total of 395,205 dish ratings and 115,660 food product ratings, which were considered to determine the top culinary experiences worldwide. Italy secured the top spot in the list, followed by Japan in second place and Greece in third. Two representatives from Southeast Asia made it to the top 20, with Indonesia ranking sixth and Thailand coming in at 17th. Vietnam was ranked 22nd, placed behind Hungary at 21st and followed by Iran at 23rd. When it comes to the 100 best dishes in the world, as announced by TasteAtlas, Vietnamese dishes were also celebrated internationally. Bánh Mì Kẹp Thịt (Vietnamese Baguette Sandwich with Meat) and Phở Bò (Beef Noodle Soup) were ranked 14th and 100th, respectively.
